Abstract. The use of components for formation of azoic dyes in certain stages of fabrication of Terlon fibres allows obtaining dyed fibres with high color fastness and preservation of the basic physicomechanical properties of the : N. N. Baeva, I. K. Pronichkina, L. S. Ivanov, A. V. Volokhina. Disperse dyes are typically used for dyeing synthetic fibers especially nylon, acrylic and polyester fibers. Disperse dyes are usually available in the form of liquid products and major players operating in the disperse dyes market are largely focusing on the developing countries for tapping their massive market potential. Azo dyes may also be toxic to aquatic organisms and cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. It is likely that the arylamines emitted from the azo dye can be absorbed by the skin and accumulate in the body. There is a risk of exposure when wearing garments or accessories that contain azo dyes, or when sleeping in such bedclothes.
